Brown-Forman Training Website AND ONE MORE FOR THE ROADMAP Brown-Forman, a large spirits manufacturer / owner / distributor, was near the end of developing a worldwide online sales training program. Tanner’s involvement began when Brown-Forman’s sales department received negative feedback from participants in the pilot. In the remaining two weeks of the development period, Tanner gave the six multi-part modules structure, gave titles to the navigation, and added subtitles, which made the material less dense. In the longer second phase, Tanner added a manager’s segment, case studies, and interactive elements to the retail selling section. When the American Society for Training and Development heard about the website, they asked Tanner to enter it in their contest and gave it an award of excellence for instructional design.
