PetSafe’s installation manual accompanies their “pet containment systems,” buried electric wires that transmit electric shock waves to a receiver on a pet’s collar. PetSafe knew the manual’s emphasis on technical information was causing owners to begin tinkering with the device, rather than spending time training their pets.

Pet Safe wanted a more professional look, and wanted to give owners the right information. Tanner reorganized and rewrote the 16-page manual, producing a 4-page brochure that reduced printing costs and focused customers on training.
